Computers today are capable of reaching Gigabyte speeds and tomorrow those speeds will only increase. But to take advantage of those speeds the cabling that connects you to a network or the Internet needs to adhere to specific installation guidelines. A quick analogy:
(Imagine driving your car on a highway where you can drive as fast as you want. As long as that highway is smooth, driving isn't a problem, your car handles just fine. But now imagine, a few potholes in the road. If you keep driving the same fast speed and hit one with your car, you might just leave the road. So now in order to stay on the road, you slow down. You can still drive on the same road, but you had to decrease your speed, just because the road was not smooth.)
Anyone can install cable, but the speeds you can expect depend upon the care and guidelines that were followed.

We are Panduit Certified and utilize high-end quality Panduit products for all our data/phone connections. Panduit data/phone hardware provides longevity and quicker installations. Cat5e and above is used for phones and computers. We use RG-6 Coax for TV and Satellite connections. Dependent upon your needs or desires for audio, we use either 16-18 gauge speaker wire to Cat5.

We adhere to standard specifications set by organizations such as ISO/IEC, TIA/EIA, CENELEC and CSA for Category 5e and Category 6 cable and systems that are widely used and accepted in the industry today.

All our cabling runs are "homeruns", and are terminated in a localized area with easy access. This offers you the ability to create computer networks or install phone systems and maintain them from one location. All terminations are tested for connectivity.

Riverview provides low voltage cabling for new construction, but we specialize in retro-wiring of existing structures. We have years of experience adding data / phone drops in office buildings and residential homes. Our retro-wiring maintains the appearance of your office or home by keeping the wires inside the walls.
